Quick & Easy Kale Chips (with Ideas for Custom Seasoning)

Equipment

  • Salad Spinner (optional)
  • Parchment lined baking tray

Ingredients
  

  • 1 bunch Kale
  • 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
  • ½ tsp kosher salt (to taste)
  • fresh ground pepper (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Wash the kale and dry thoroughly -use clean dry kitchen towels.
  • Cut out the stem and woody parts. Tear into bite size pieces and dry again with towels, or salad spinner, if using. When dry, put the kale pieces on parchment lined tray.
  • Drizzle on the olive oil and sprinkle the kosher salt, and fresh ground pepper if using. Toss to combine.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes until Kale is crispy on the edges. Remove and enjoy!

Notes

You can customize the flavors of your chips. Some ideas:
  • Nutritional cheese
  • Smoked paprika
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Granulated garlic
  • Grated cheese
  • Everything Bagel seasoning
  • Bacon bits
  • Toss in truffle oil instead of olive oil
 
It's important to dry the leaves completely so they will crisp up nicely in the oven. Any water left on the leaves will steam the leaves and make them soggy.
