Small cookie cutters
- 2 cups (240g) All Purpose flour
- 1 cup (115g) Whole wheat flour*
- 2 large eggs
- ¼ cup (60g) Regular peanut butter do not use peanut butter that uses sugar substitutes- they are harmful to canines!
- ½ cup (125g) Unsweetened applesauce
Preheat oven 350°F (175°C). Gather all ingredients.
Sift the flour together. Mix in eggs, peanut butter and applesauce until fully combined to form a dough.
Roll out dough using a rolling pin on lightly floured surface till approx. ¼ inch (½ cm) thick. Use cookie cutter to press out shapes.
Put on parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 18-20 minutes till treats are dry and golden. Transfer to cooling rack.
Once cooled, give Fido a treat! Store the rest in air tight container.
*If whole wheat flour is not available, simply use a cup of all purpose flour to substitute.
Number of treats depends on the size of your cookie cutter. For the ones I used, the recipe yielded approximately 8 dozen. I wanted to make small treats for my small dogs. If you want to make larger treats, simply use larger cookie cutters.
